Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory, demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Continual deposition of sclerotic plaques leads to progressive physical disability. Etiologic agents, exacerbating or remitting agents, and curative modalities have not been firmly established. The T2 MRI shown demonstrates numerous areas of increased signal indicating extensive disease.
